This month’s client experience was submitted by Steve Hansen, chapter executive of American Red Cross in Northeast Wisconsin. Here’s their story.
Effective January 1st, Tom Malmstadt is the new Executive Director of the United Way of Sheboygan County. He will serve in a part-time capacity until he retires from the Random Lake School District as Disctrict Administrator in June.
We all know them, the most common new years resolutions: lose weight, get organized, save money, quit smoking, etc. I’ve definitely had a few of these on my list over the years as I’m sure many of you have.
“Santa, it’s so good to see you again!” said the little girl skipping up to the big red velvet chair. “I’ve been waiting all year to see you.”

This month’s client experience was submitted directly by Heidi Gudmundson, Executive Director at Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization, as part of their annual application for Bridgeway and Beyond Transitional Living Program funding.
At this time of year, we are all swamped with charitable requests for funds. It's natural. After all, people are likely to be at their most generous at the holidays. Not to mention that charitable gifts need to be clocked in by December 31st to receive a tax deduction.
November 29, 2016 kicks of the giving season for all, and this year United Way of Sheboygan County has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of generosity worldwide. GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their communities and to give back in impactful way to the charities and causes they support.
