Each year United Way of Sheboygan County coordinates Day of Caring, a full day of supporting nonprofit agencies across Sheboygan County.
A sales tax holiday will be in effect Wednesday, August 1 to Sunday, August 5. This is a temporary exemption period where sales of certain items are exempt from Wisconsin sales and use tax.
The 2016 ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) Study of Financial Hardship in Wisconsin characterized 29 percent of Wisconsin households as ALICE. Due to an error in calculating the tax budget line, that number should have been 23 percent. For more information can be found here.
