Volunteer Center Reception - Fond du Lac and Sheboygan Counties

Fond du Lac County and Sheboygan County Emergency Management is asking for the public’s assistance in cleaning up debris left from the storms that went through several counties throughout the state on August 28th, 2018.

A United Way Volunteer Reception Center is being set up at the Plymouth Fire Station located at 111 East Main Street in the City of Plymouth to register and assign volunteers to assist in both Fond du Lac and Sheboygan Counties, with the majority of the workload scheduled to be done in the Osceola and Cascade areas. The Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) will be open Sunday, September 9th through Friday, September 14th with hours of 9 am-12 pm and 4 pm-7pm.

Volunteers will need to register at the VRC and will then be given an assignment on where to report the FOLLOWING DAY. Volunteers will not be sent out to their assigned volunteer post on the day of registration. You do not need to come to the VRC dressed and ready to deploy out. Volunteers will be given assignments to assist during the hours of 7am-5pm Monday, September 10th through Saturday, September 15th.

Emergency Management from both counties is requesting volunteers who are willing and able to do strenuous physical labor as well as those who can provide support services. At this time, we are not asking for equipment or specialized resources.

Please do not report directly to the communities affected or active work areas, as you will be turned away and asked to register with the Volunteer Reception Center.

Residents affected by the storms are reminded to call 2-1-1 to report your damages and/or identify needs you may have.
