If there’s one thing that the staff at United Way can’t do enough of, it is to say ‘Thank You’. Thank you to our more than 200 volunteers throughout the year, thank you to the more than 10,000 individual donors and companies that support our annual campaign and thank you to the more than 25 restaurants that participated in this year’s Dine Out for United Way as well as all the diners who patronized those establishments during participating times.
Specifically, thank you to:
- 8th Street Ale Haus
- Al & Al’s Steinhaus
- Angler’s Avenue
- Antoinette’s
- Braun’s Ranch
- Bread & Bean Eatery
- Cold Stone Creamery
- Culvers in Plymouth
- Down Under Music Bar
- Duke of Devon
- Field to Fork
- Firehouse Pizza
- Highland House
- Il Ritrovo
- Legend Larry’s, Sheboygan & Sheboygan Falls locations
- Luigi’s Italian Restaurant
- Paddock Club
- Schulz’s Restaurant
- Sweet Basil
- Three Guys & a Grill
- Three Guys & a Pizza Pie
- Trattoria Stefano
- Twisted Restaurant
It’s too soon to tell what the total proceeds from this year’s event are yet, but I can tell you that the contributions will be included in our 2014 annual campaign. The United Way Planning & Allocations committee, under the direction of the Board of Directors and Strategic Planning Committee, are currently in the process of reviewing year-end reports and applications for funding from our affiliate agencies for their programs. After the review process, grants will be awarded for the 2015-16 fiscal year for programs doing great things in our community, as well as the possibility of funding special projects. I’m sure we’ll share more in the coming months.
Again, thank you to all of our generous restaurants, donors and volunteers. Without you, there would be no United Way!
