Running for a Cause

Running outdoors in the middle of winter - challenge accepted!

The holidays are upon us and people are putting up their decorations, preparing their gifts and getting their running shoes out?

As the weather catches up to us this winter, the second annual Snowball Run will put you ahead of your New Year’s resolution, continue your exercise goals for this year and put you in the holiday spirit as you pass holiday decorations along the streets of Kohler.

“Exercise is so much about forming the habit, and since I'm an outdoor runner vs being a treadmill runner the winter months can slow me down,” said Trevor Irish, Web Analyst for Dynamic, Inc. and local runner.

“I like that the event is during the colder months. It motivates me to keep running outside knowing that I have a paid event that I can't let myself back out of,” continued Irish.

This holiday 5K run/walk is a professionally timed race by Race Day Events. Each registration includes a t-shirt and refreshments during and after the race.

Kohler’s famous post-race Bloody Mary bar will be available, along with some other hot and tasty holiday drinks available for purchase after the race.

“This time of year is truly magical in Kohler and I can’t think of a better way to share it with family and friends,” said Stephen Girardi, Special Events Manager for Kohler Hospitality and Real Estate.

The Snowball Run is hosted by the staff at The American Club and a portion of the race fee is donated to United Way of Sheboygan County.
