The PATH Program, a school-based mental health service, helps create increased access to mental health services for youth and their families by removing financial and geographical barriers. Since 2015, PATH has served over 1350 students - and this number continues to grow.
Last year, PATH expanded, providing 9 full-time equivalent (FTE) therapists who collectively provided 22,295 sessions to students in Sheboygan County (an increase of 7,889 sessions from 2019/20 school year). This year, we grew again! We currently have 11+ FTE therapists who are on track to provide over 28,000 sessions to the school districts in our county. As you can see, the need continues to expand and with the pandemic, this need has only increased. In fact, since March of 2020, 11,000 youth were screened by Mental Health America across the nation and the results were astounding. 83% of youth screened positive for anxiety and 91% screened positive for depression. Of those screened, 70% reported loneliness and isolation as their main struggle. In Sheboygan County, between the months of September and October of 2020, we saw a 500%increase in online mental health screenings with youth 17 years of age and younger.
If you can't join us or want to give above the 50% of your entry fee, click here to donate to support Providing Access To Healing (PATH) Program for youth throughout Sheboygan County public districts.
Thank you for being a Mental Health Champion for the youth in our community!
