Lisa Stephan, Executive Director with Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization (SCIO), shares the immense impact their programs are making in our community.
United Way currently invests in the three following programs at SCIO:
- Family Pathways – Supervised Visitation Program
- Farmer’s Market
- Bridgeway and Beyond
For 30 years, Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization has provided a holistic approach to identify gaps and provide resources and connections for some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
Family Pathways – Supervised Visitation Program: Provides a safe and positive way for children to visit with their parents as their families experience a difficult or transitional time.
Farmer’s Market: The market has gone through many changes over the past year, but as an essential food resource, it has continued to offer access to fresh, local food.
Bridgeway and Beyond: Bridgeway’s residential program serves single women with children who are homeless or living in unsafe or unstable environments. The entire time they are in the program, the mothers are actively making progress and held accountable for their family goals. The extended length of stay at Bridgeway allows the stability needed for mothers to focus on healing and learning the skills necessary to provide the ongoing stability that will allow them to break the cycle of chaos and poverty for their children.
