Leave your snow boots at home and lace up your running shoes on Saturday, March 4 for the Kohler Snowball Run 5K. Don’t let the name confuse you; this run, originally scheduled for December 17, 2016, has been rescheduled for March 4 due to a self-fulfilling prophecy: 10+ inches of snow!
Kohler Company came up with the idea to hold this professionally-timed race with the original intent of supporting United Way while showing off the beautiful holiday streets of the Village of Kohler, but I know that the Village is still beautiful in early March. Keep your 2017 healthy intentions going by signing up!
A portion of the $35 registration fee will benefit United Way of Sheboygan County as we wrap up the 2016 Campaign. Additionally, each registration includes a small gift bag, t-shirt and refreshments during and after the race. You may register in advance by visiting uwofsc.org/events/Kohler-snowball-run-5k or show up that morning to register on-site.
The event starts promptly at 9 a.m. on March 4 at The Shops at Woodlake Kohler. When you cross the finish line, they will have their famous Bloody Mary bar available along with other hot and tasty drinks available for purchase.
I can tell you that I will be there that morning, jogging stroller at the ready, but I can’t guarantee that I will be running the whole time!
I hope to see you there!
