Joe and Jackie Join United Way of Sheboygan

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Jackie Joseph-Silverstein, Regional Executive Officer and Dean for the Southeastern Region of UW-Colleges and Dr. Joe Sheehan, Superintendent of the Sheboygan Area School District, have agreed to serve as United Way of Sheboygan County’s 2017 Campaign Co-Chairs.    Jackie and Joe have dedicated themselves to education and we are excited to have their expertise help us this year. Education is one of United Way’s three building blocks for a good quality of life, and a major focus for us.

As part of their responsibilities, Joe and Jackie will attend functions on behalf of United Way, aid in giving campaign presentations and help spread the word about the United Way’s mission of building a stronger and healthier Sheboygan County through effectively facilitating resources, convening broad dialog and focusing on areas of highest need.

Jackie and Joe officially kicked off the United Way Campaign at the United Way Day of Caring at Wildwood Park September 14th.  Over 550 volunteers attended this year’s event, by far the largest turnout for Day of Caring.   After the event at the park, the volunteers proceeded to forty venues where they provided critical community service projects for nonprofit agencies throughout the county.  The day was capped off with Taste Sheboygan, where local restaurants brought their culinary talents to Fountain Park with the benefits going to the United Way.

We are grateful to Jackie and Joe for agreeing to LIVE UNITED this year as our Campaign Co-Chairs!
